I am hoping to market LEED to clients while keeping my head above water in this market. I am sitting with two of my partners trying to figure out how we can work LEED’s advantages in our collateral material. Our focus is tenant finish but also offer all levels of commercial construction services including development. Unfortunately, at the moment there is little going on.
My goal, when I began pursuing my LEED AP certification, was to sell the process to clients. But at the moment, our biggest benefit is helping streamline the LEED process once the client has decided to build LEED and has already produced drawings to that effect.
So, for now, it will be business as usual while I educate myself on the HVAC, electrical and product specification to eventually help our clients go in that direction.
This will be a fun process- I look forward to it.
